The Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management (SHFM) brought double the impact in a single day by pairing two of the association’s dynamic events that cater to rising professional talent and seasoned professionals. From personal wellness strategies to critical industry conversations, the day offered a holistic blend of growth, insight, and connection.

Young professionals (39 and younger) began the day with the Young Professionals Summit. At this year’s Young Professionals Summit, attendees explored the key dimensions of whole-person health. Young Professionals learned strategies to foster meaningful relationships and enhance productivity to thrive both in the workplace and home.

The Critical Issues Conference brought together industry leaders and subject matter experts to tackle pressing challenges and innovations in workplace hospitality. With food allergies and sensitivities affecting millions, this raises critical questions about how workplace dining can foster safe and inclusive settings. Attendees explored the connection of nutrition and well-being, highlighting how the right nutrition can positively influence your mind and body.

Through both events, on the same day, SHFM created a layered journey for attendees with the first event setting the stage and the second building upon this energy. This cohesive experience allowed for more interactive networking and educational opportunities. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from this year:
