The 12th Annual SHFM Hunger Games brought conference attendees together for an evening of friendly competition, collaboration and philanthropy during the evening reception on September 17th.

Teams competed in several exciting challenges, combining creativity, teamwork and a healthy dose of fun for the ultimate bragging rights. Team Rainbow claimed victory over all competing teams.

Additionally, guests who preferred a different way to participate packed essential supplies for Armed Services YMCA 29 Palms, a local military support organization, while others enjoyed cheering on participants or taking part in the new dunk tank, which raised additional funds for FoodNow.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and SHFM members, the event raised over $40,000 to benefit Food Now, supporting food assistance, community outreach, and other vital services in the Coachella Valley. Over its 12-year history, Hunger Games has now raised more than $250,000, making a lasting impact on the local communities that host the SHFM National Conference.

This year’s event once again showcased the camaraderie and generosity of the SHFM community. Guests left with memories of spirited competition, knowing their participation directly helped those in need.
