Maria Cleaveland (Co-Moderator)
Sales Director, America
Urnex Brands

Maria Cleaveland has been helping coffee suck less since 1993—and shaping the industry while she’s at it. A hospitality powerhouse and a fearless leader across coffee’s value chain, she has scaled licensing and wholesale businesses at Starbucks, Peet’s and Equator Coffees. Maria managed the very first Starbucks store in New York City, helped launch the brand’s airport strategy and went on to lead sales, operations and training programs that set new industry standards.

Today, Maria serves as Sales Director of the Americas for Urnex, the global leader in coffee equipment cleaning products, while advising BrewBird and other next-gen coffee ventures. She’s also the founder of Lift & Learn, a cross-training platform helping baristas and technicians build meaningful careers. She brings relentless curiosity, a touch of moxie, and a whole lot of heart to every corner of the industry—because to Maria, coffee is community, and the people are the point.

Michael Moore

Michael Moore (Co-Moderator)
Chief Sustainability Officer
Restaurantware

Michael Moore is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Restaurantware and a proud father of two. Formerly a trained chef, author and podcast host, he began his career cooking for celebrities in Los Angeles before moving into foodservice management, where he specialized in designing menus and kitchens for eating disorder recovery programs. Those early experiences paved the way for his transition to Restaurantware, where he took on the challenge of developing more eco-friendly products—combining his passions for sustainability, creative problem-solving and foodservice.

As CSO, Michael has led the company’s sustainability transformation—including learning firsthand how to build and launch a foundation from the ground up. This work now drives Restaurantware’s environmental initiatives and partnerships. Michael was raised to believe in leaving everything better than he found it—and that includes this beautiful, blue marble we all call home.
