Unreasonable Hospitality

Sponsored by Compass Group

Will Guidara, Restaurateur

Will Guidara took Eleven Madison Park from a middling Brasserie to the best restaurant in the world when he realized something revolutionary – the food, service and design are simply ingredients in the recipe of human connection. When he encouraged his team to be present with their guests, take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously, and employ a “one size fits one” strategy, magic happened. In this talk, Will shares why these lessons took EMP to #1, and how an unreasonable approach to the pursuit of human connection can help you win – and give people an experience they will remember forever. The insights he shares extend beyond restaurants – everyone has the opportunity to be unreasonable and intentional about hospitality in every aspect of business. How can you deliver unreasonable hospitality within your own organization?

Technology is at the heart of any successful food and beverage operation - and with rapidly evolving capabilities, it is also at the heart of hospitality. However, the way various segments within these industries use technology and derive ROI may differ based upon industry segment. From providing efficiencies in the front and back of house, to customer engagement and beyond, technology enables almost all areas of the business. Hear the perspectives from subject matter experts, in the industry and industry adjacent segments, who will share their views and experiences on the ways in which technology can strengthen your operation and bottom line.
