SHFM HUNGER GAMES & CHARITABLE ACTIVITY
Join us for an unforgettable evening reception - with friendly competition and community engagement at the annual SHFM conference hunger awareness activity! This cherished tradition brings attendees together for a blend of entertainment, networking, and philanthropy. Over the years, the dedication of SHFM members has propelled us to raise over $200,000 in support of local hunger initiatives, making a tangible impact on our community.
Mark your calendar for the 12th Anniversary event, taking place on Wednesday, September 17 during the evening reception from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Prepare to be part of a spirited competition as attendees are divided into teams to tackle six exciting challenges, all in pursuit of victory! The winning team will not only claim bragging rights but also contribute to a worthy cause.
This year, proceeds from the event will benefit Food Now, an organization committed to providing food assistance, community outreach and support services for the Coachella Valley
Not interested in competing? Enjoy the reception while cheering on your favorite team or pack bags to support 29 Palms, a local military group. To learn more about 29 Palms, check out this video. All materials and supplies will be provided for you to assemble. New for 2025, we'll have a dunk tank where you can dunk SHFM members! Be sure to bring your wallet, because all proceeds will benefit Food Now.

SHFM FOUNDATION
The SHFM Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports higher education through chapters, scholarships and student outreach programs. The Foundation is committed to its mission to develop the next generation of diverse hospitality professionals by empowering individuals through awareness, education and relationship building.
In addition, the Foundation offers funding to colleges/universities that offer or are interested in offering a corporate foodservice or workplace hospitality course. Several schools are awarded this grant. The Foundation holds events throughout the year to raise funds for these very important programs.
