Executive Panel — Personal and Professional Road to Leadership (Session 1)
You never know when opportunity or adversity will knock, but you should be ready to answer. This year’s Young Professionals Summit will feature a panel of industry executives who made life-changing decisions based on either a personal crossroads or circumstances that were handed to them to reach a leadership point in their careers. They’ll discuss their career journey and how the decisions they made along the way have affected their leadership style and the culture they have built in their companies. 


Amanda Beni (Moderator)
Vice President, HMG Plus, Inc.

Amanda Beni is a passionate corporate hospitality professional with over 10 years of experience in the hospitality and staffing industry. Starting her career at HMG+ in 2015, Amanda adapted herself to numerous roles in the company, constantly seeking new paths to which she could expand company growth and capacity. In 2018, Amanda became a Certified Staffing Professional in order to service both her team and clients to the best of her ability. Through tenacity and ambition, Amanda rose through the ranks of HMG+, and in 2021 became promoted to Vice President of the company. Amanda is deeply rooted within the hospitality community, and has been an impassioned member of SHFM for over 5 years, serving as part of the Young Professionals committee, and a commemorated Julie Flik Rising Star.
Oladele Idris 
Experience Services Director, Work Dynamics, JLL

In his current role, Oladele Idris is responsible for developing and delivering services that foster the productivity of all JLL stakeholders within the corporate offices. He joined the firm in 2016 on the Santander bank account, during which time he provided facilities management support to 144 retail locations and an office complex in the northeast. He successfully leveraged JLL MES to provide excellent service to the client and frequently demonstrated going above & beyond. Before moving into a regional facilities management role, he managed the Prudential insurance account. He was responsible for leading a group of facility managers in the northeast region and collectively managing 3.6 million square feet of real estate comprising a mixture of corporate offices, retail spaces & data centers. Before joining JLL, Oladele worked for Broll Group as Lead facilities manager for Standard Chartered Bank, managing a collection of retail locations in the city of Lagos, Nigeria. Oladele attended the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria where he received a Bachelor of Technology in Estate Management.
Owen Moore 
Associate Vice President, Division of Campus Services , New York University

Owen Moore's portfolio includes NYU Dining Services and Catering, the New York University Bookstore, the Kimmel Center for University Life, the Skirball Center for Performing Arts, Campus Cash, Mail, Reprographics and Logistics, and University Licensing and Trademarks. He is responsible for operations and strategic planning for the division's $100 million in managed volume at NYU’s Washington Square and Brooklyn locations, while also supporting the portal campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. In 2021, his Division served over 10 million customers on NYU’s New York campuses.
He has been instrumental in supporting the University’s initiative toward affordability reducing the cost of attendance through reducing the cost of course materials, and developing programs to reduce the pressure of food insecurity on students. Owen earned a B.S. in Business Leadership and Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He is also active in trade and community organizations having served on the Board of Directors and President of the Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management.
Julie Suh
VP of Hospitality & Culture, Restaurant Associates

Julie Suh spearheads initiatives that improve internal culture and elevate customer experiences. She created and launched RA’s proprietary customer service training program in 2018 which has been a key differentiator for the company. Julie also launched and manages the company’s employee communication app which is used to engage, educate, recognize and reward associates. She also oversees guest feedback measurement programs for RA and serves as an Executive Steering Member for the company’s Diversity & Inclusion Action Council. Prior to joining RA, Julie was with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for 14 years in various strategic roles and previously worked on wall street as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Raquel Weiss Fusco
Vice President, Operations & Client Relations, elite|studio e

In her operation's role, Raquel is involved with every project the company works on - more than 200 a year. She oversees the process ensuring the departments run cohesively, seek innovation and continue to meet and exceed elite standards. Raquel previously served as elite|studio e’s Director of Client Relations, managed the elite|studio e estimating team and was a project estimator. The role was a great starting point, providing Raquel with an education about the industry and allowing her to grow into the professional and leader she is today. Currently, she serves at the Treasurer of SHFM. Raquel also manages an industry-related Instagram account and blog, Quel's Corner, featuring culinary trends, design ideas and more.

Your Seat at the Table (Session 2)
Join our select industry executives for small group discussion with tailored questions led by our executives for discussion with other Young Professionals. This is your opportunity to have intimate professional conversations with industry leaders to ask and discuss career decisions, work-life balance and get their thoughts on the future of our industry. Our session will be in two sections, where our table leaders will switch tables halfway through the session, allowing our Young Professional attendees the benefit of personally speaking with two industry leaders serving as our table leaders.
