Leveling the Playing Field: How to Recognize Unconscious Bias
Join SHFM for a virtual networking session on recognizing unconscious bias and learning strategies to navigate bias in recruiting with guest speaker, Jessica Tantin, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, New England Aquarium.
We are all aware of the unconscious biases that exist in the workplace but do not always know how to recognize and interrupt them. This networking session will provide an opportunity for us to collectively learn about the different types of bias, understand the impact it can have on our recruiting and hiring processes and discuss strategies to help us navigate these biases.
During this virtual event, we’ll mix it up with a discussion session - connect with colleagues from around the country (be camera ready!).
Presented in partnership by SHFM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and SHFM's Membership Marketing Engagement Subcommittee
